To complement the legal opinion on Legal Opinion on Directors’ Duties and Disclosure Obligations under Hong Kong Law in the Context of Climate Change Risks and Considerations, the CCLI has produced a white paper on Directors’ Liability and Climate Risk under Hong Kong law.

To accompany our paper on Fiduciary Duties and Climate Change in the United States, the CCLI wrote an article summarising what climate change means for Delaware directors.

The CCLI has commissioned a legal opinion on Directors’ Duties and Disclosure Obligations under Hong Kong Law in the Context of Climate Change Risks and Considerations, by Mr Alex Stock SC and Ms Jennier Fan.

To complement the legal opinion on Directors’ obligations to consider climate change-related risk in India, the CCLI has produced a white paper on Directors’ Liability and Climate Risk under Indian law.

The CCLI has commissioned a legal opinion by Mr. Shyam Divan, Senior Advocate, and Ms. Sugandha Yadav and Ms. Ria Singh Sawhney, Advocates, on directors’ duties and disclosure obligations regarding climate change under Indian law.

In collaboration with the Climate Governance Initiative, the CCLI has produced a primer on directors’ duties and climate change, covering 20 jurisdictions plus the European Union.

As TCFD-aligned disclosures start to become mandatory in some jurisdictions, the Canada Climate Law Initiative compares the paths regulators are taking to oblige companies to carry out TCFD disclosures.

Alongside the Chan legal opinion on directors’ responsibilities and climate change under Singapore law, the CCLI are pleased to publish a new white paper: Directors’ Liability and Climate Risk: White Paper on Singapore.
