Jenni Ramos

Lawyer, Corporate/Finance and Biodiversity

Brief info

Jenni Ramos is a UK-qualified lawyer focusing on the corporate and financial law implications of biodiversity loss and ecosystem risk at the Commonwealth Climate and Law Initiative, particularly in relation to directors' and investors' duties and corporate governance.

Before joining the CCLI, Jenni was Head of Content Development at The Chancery Lane Project where she joined as the first project associate and helped to shape the rapid expansion of this groundbreaking initiative to support lawyers to use contractual clauses to tackle climate change. This included editorial work, leading workshops and writing about legal issues at the intersection of climate change and law.

Having qualified at Allen & Overy in London, Jenni practised corporate and commercial law in Cambridge before a career break and a variety of non-practising positions, including negotiating university medical research contracts and heading up the compliance function of an international disability NGO.

Jenni is the co-author of the report 'Biodiversity Risk: Legal Implications for Companies and their Directors' published in December 2022.
